Grilled Guacamole

Step 1

Preheat barbecue to high. In a bowl, mix together onion, salt, lime juice and roasted garlic paste. Set aside.

Step 2

Grill avocado 1 to 2 min. per side. Remove from barbecue, roughly chop and add to red onion mixture. Mix in tomatoes, cilantro and hot sauce. Serve with tortilla chips.

Tip

To prevent this fruit from slipping through the barbecue grates, quarter or halve the avocado and grill flesh side down.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup (60 mL) finely diced red onion
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
2 tbsp (30 mL) lime juice
1 tsp (5 mL) Roasted Garlic Seasoning Paste
2 avocados, ripe but firm, peeled, pitted and quartered
1/3 cup (75 mL) finely diced SUNSET® Campari™ Tomatoes
2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 tsp (2 mL) hot sauce
