Grilled Fruit Skewers with Habanero Caramel Sauce
Makes 4


  1. Melt butter and sugar in medium saucepan over medium heat. When sugar is dissolved, increase heat to medium-high.
  2. Stir in whipping cream and BBQ sauce. Boil 3 to 5 min. until thickened.
  3. Cool slightly.Meanwhile, alternately thread mango, papaya and pineapple cubes onto skewers.Place skewers on grill preheated to medium-high heat. Cook 5 to 7 min., turning occasionally, until fruit is lightly golden and marked. Serve with warm caramel sauce for dipping.

When in season, make skewers with local strawberries, melons and peaches

2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
½ cup (125 mL) sugar
¼ cup (60 mL) 35% whipping cream
3 tbsp (4m mL) Sensations by Compliments Spirited Mickie Tequila Lime Habanero BBQ Sauce
2 mangos, peeled, cut into large chunks
½ papaya, peeled, cut into large chunks
½ pineapple, peeled, cut into large chunks
8 wooden skewers, soaked
